Journey to Peace and Power: Find Your Zen

I know what it’s like to be angry at everything. What it’s like to have been hurt so deeply that there is only anger, pain, and bitterness. I know you have loved openly and been wounded deeply. I know you wonder: When will it be my turn?

My name is Marian Scales. I am a transformation, empowerment, and mental wellness coach, and I am here to tell you I have been there, I pulled myself out of it, and now I help others do the same.

Life is not easy, and all of us have experienced hardship, trauma, betrayal, and disappointment. It’s part of being human.. It can be easy to let pain define you, define your experience of living, and your view the world. It can be easy to be bitter, to make ourselves the victims. The damsel in distress. 

And we have all been victims. We have all needed to be saved when there was no one to save us.

We don’t have to stay there. We can save ourselves.

We can choose to see the world differently, to think differently, to believe differently, and to have a different experience. To see goodness, to feel love, to feel confident, and empowered. To face challenges bravely. To be at peace.

It’s up to us, as individuals, to decide how we’re going to navigate the experiences of life, good and bad.

Some people are given everything they ever wanted and they still feel angry, and miserable. They are bitter and lonely. They cannot find a way out, they have trapped themselves.

There is always a way out. It starts within.

When you become aware of your feelings, your thoughts, your beliefs, your habits you get a choice. You get to ask yourself does this serve me? Is this true for me? Do I like this? Then you get to do something about it.

In choosing you get to decide what kind of life you want. How you want to feel. How you want to live. What you believe. What kinds of experiences you have.

Choosing life, choosing healing, choosing to rise and thrive takes courage, takes work, takes conviction. It is slow, it is hard, it is painful, it is downright terrifying. Facing yourself, your pain, your past, your beliefs and challenging them is terrifying.  It will be the hardest thing you ever do, and it will be the best thing you could ever do for yourself.

Imagine what your life would be like if you weren’t overthinking? If you weren’t thinking about the past, and weren’t worried about the future? If you weren’t worried about other people. If you weren’t thinking about other people’s opinions. If you let go of what you can’t control?

How much more time, energy, and space would you have if you let go of the bullshit? Who would you be?

When I finally did this work it took time. It took years, and it is ongoing. It’s the kind of thing that never really ends. However, I saw differences within a year, within two years I wasn’t the same person, within three years the changes were undeniable. 

I fell apart a hundred times, and I’ll fall apart a hundred more times, and a hundred more after that. Every time I piece myself back together I am more myself. More whole, more at peace, more confident, more focused,, more empowered.

The results speak for themselves, and the people around you will notice the difference. They will see you be the change, and you will change, and your life will change, and it will be better than anything you can imagine.
